Virtual Tenant Patrol

John Johnson, past President of the Mott Haven Resident Association and Chair, Citywide Council of Presidents , believed that residents must take control of their own safety and quality-of-life in the places where they live. One of the central ways that he was able to accomplish this was by the creation of the Virtual Tenant Patrol (VTP) service.

The VTP service enables Resident Association Tenant Patrols, as well as residents themselves, to view their building lobbies, front doors, playgrounds and other common areas remotely, out of harm's way. As Mr. Johnson would say, "We Are Watching Us".

The VTP service is completely controlled by Residents, and thanks to the pioneering vision of John Johnson, has been expanded to many other developments.
